What kind of services do you offer?

We offer guided mountain bike rides across the North York Moors. Our rides are designed for various fitness and experience levels from beginners to advanced, and we aim to provide safe, enjoyable, and memorable adventures in the area.

How do I book a ride?

When do I pay?
​
Payment is taken when your booking is confirmed. We’ll send you a confirmation email with full details once your payment is processed.

What equipment do I need?
​
You must bring a well-maintained mountain bike suitable for off-road riding (which is owned or hired by you), a properly fitting helmet, and weather-appropriate clothing. Further equipment required includes spare inner tube, snacks, adequate amount of water, sunscreen, bug spray, change of clothing, and of course money for some nice food on route (if applicable).

Do I need to be fit to join a ride?
​
Yes. All participants must have a reasonable level of fitness and be physically capable of completing the ride safely. If you're unsure whether a ride is suitable for you, please contact us before booking and we can discuss.

Can I cancel my booking?
​
Yes, but please note you can cancel for a full refund if you give more than 7 days’ notice before your ride; cancellations made within 7 days of the ride date are non-refundable, due to the preparation and guide costs involved; in some cases, we may offer to reschedule your ride at our discretion.

What happens if the weather is bad?
​
We monitor weather conditions closely. If severe weather makes it unsafe to ride, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule. If that’s not possible, we’ll refund you.

What if I don’t have the right equipment or can’t keep up?
​
You must arrive with the required equipment and have the agreed level of fitness. If you arrive unprepared or it's unsafe for you to continue, we reserve the right to cancel your participation without refund to ensure your safety and that of the group. Whist we appreciate that everyone rides at different paces, we stress that our rides are not a race and that keeping the group together comes first. This is for the safety and enjoyment of the group.

Are your services suitable for children?
​
Some of our services may be suitable for younger riders, but we do have age and ability restrictions. Please contact us before booking if you are considering bringing a child.

Will photos or videos be taken during the ride?
​
Yes. We may take photographs or short video clips to use on social media, our website, an in future marketing. We aim to capture the fun and adventure of the day respectfully. If you'd prefer not to be included, just let us know before the ride. You can also withdraw your consent at any time afterwards by contacting us at moorswithmarco@outlook.com .
