About Me
My Story
Ey up, I'm Marco! Born in Northallerton, raised in East Harlsey and Battersby Junction, within the heart of the North York Moors National Park.
A childhood spent outside, exploring, riding bikes. My mum competed in cycling and running events around the world, representing England, encouraging adventure and sparking my interest in the outdoors.
School teaching and outdoor leadership across the world followed, from Croatia to China and more in between. A degree in PE and Outdoor Education from Leeds Beckett University; and more recently local bike shop management, crafting my skills and tricks of the trade.
Fast forward and Moors with Marco is born. Based in Yarm, bringing my expertise directly to you as a Cytech Bike Mechanic and British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader; offering mobile bike servicing and repairs across the local area, plus bespoke guided mountain bike rides in the North York Moors.
I'm also delighted to now be a Firefighter with Cleveland Fire Brigade, based at Yarm Station, helping keep my local community safe and sound!
